After just over twenty four hours offline, my blog has returned!

I took the site offline, due to the great PHP vulnerability of 2026, to be honest I have been putting off updating it for a while, because I want to move to a completely different platform, but this felt serious enough to require an update. Fortunately the Updraft Plus WordPress plugin saved the day again and made it super easy to restore my site from a backup. For reference I am using the free version of the plugin to back up my site daily to AWS S3.

Hopefully my next update about the tech underpinning the blog will be when I am on the completely new platform, which should eliminate this sort of emergency patching.
