Costa Rica Day 1: Travelling

Leaving on a jet plane by Lewis Craik

Today has been mainly spent in aeroplanes or airports, the picture above was taken about 20 hours ago, on the first plane in London, now we look more like zombies, but the airport hotel in Liberia seems nicer than the one in London. Plus we had lunch at what I’d like to think was an authentic American diner at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas.

The real adventure starts tomorrow morning when we head up to La Fortuna.

MX-5 Underground – iPhone

Black & White MX-5 by Lewis Craik

I dropped Jen off at the supermarket and was told “I’ll be back in 10 minutes”, so what else was I going to do when presented with an underground car park and my MX-5? This shot was taken and processed (and car returned to where I’d dropped Jen off) before she got back. Much more fun than shopping!

Hopefully I’ll get a chance to shoot here with my proper camera soon.

Fiat 500 – iPhone

After washing Jen’s 500 I decided to take a quick picture of it on my iPhone and post it to Flickr/Twitter.

Rather annoyingly within a few hours it had more views than all the pictures of my new MX-5, although that was possibly something to do with a retweet from Polished Bliss.

The little Fiat will be getting a proper photoshoot soon though.

Camden Lock – iPhone

I was down in London the other day and ventured over to Camden Lock for the first time, I didn’t have a DSLR with me, but took the following photo on my iPhone.

I can’t wait to return to explore some more, enjoy the vast range of food they have and do a bit of street photography too!

The Best Camera…

Is the one that’s with you.

Not only is it a book/website by Chase Jarvis, one of my favourite photographers, it is a great way of thinking!

As part of his project Chase and his team have created an iPhone app, which makes post processing and sharing phones from the iPhone really easy, combining two of my passions.

Most of my images taken with my phone are posted on my Twitter feed, but can also be found on my part of the Best Camera website.

One of my favourite arty shots, taken with my iPhone, at the Trafford Centre, I love the simplicity of the black and white conversion:
